We grow two different varieties. A true classic, the ‘Bintje’, and a variety specifically suited to chips, the Fontane. Both potato varieties grow in excellent clay soil with a sufficient supply of nutrients. One key nutrient is potassium. This mineral ensures a rich flavour and, when consumed daily, helps replenish potassium levels in our bodies. The ‘Bintje’ is an all-round potato that can be used for various purposes; it can be boiled until flaky, made into mash or used for chips. It is suitable for oven bakes, but it is important to pay a little attention to the cooking time. The Fontane is ideal for chips. All other preparations are according to your own taste and preference. This potato is slightly waxy and has a drier flavour.
